Introduction- Minor Project

Here it is people, the first project of my final year in uni, my minor project. As always this will be a brief explanation of what I aim to achieve in this module and what to expect along the way.
So without further ado, lets get into the basics of what I am actually going to do: Put basically I am working on my ability as a director and in particular, how it is that I work with actors and get a good quality of performance from them.

This will be fairly heavy with regards to research as it is mostly researching the likes of Brecht and Stanislavsky and their approaches to acting then from there I will work out how best I can implement this into my own style of directing or how I can adapt my style to be more effective through these techniques I have learned throughout this process.

From here I will present my work in the form of several pieces of behind the scenes footage which I will use to show myself at work in the 'workshops' I will be doing with the actors I am working with. However, the main goal of this is to recreate an existing scene and see how close to a professional level I can achieve. This will have to be a scene which the actor hasn't previously seen so that they aren't mimicking something they have already seen and are instead giving an honest performance of the character I have given them. I may potentially do one version where they have seen the original scene to see how this compares, however, this is probably most dependent upon the time frame than anything else.

That's the basics of what I intend to do for this, my blog for the next few weeks will essentially be a big dump for my research notes and ideas on how I am going to progress this project.
